Industrial Zone of Palhaça
The industrial area of Palhaça is located to the north of this parish.
Its location is a strategy, since it privileges the proximity of important road axes, namely the ER335, ER333 with rapid connection to the A17 (Aveiro / Leiria), which are in good circulation conditions, allowing easy access and distribution of people and goods at road level to various parts of the country.

The consolidation of this industrial zone had as promoter the Municipality of Oliveira do Bairro, which, since its creation, acquired land and carried out allotment operations, with the objective of ordering, infrastructure and creating lots for sale at reasonable prices.


It is an industrial area that is well established, with an occupancy rate close to 100%. However, the 2nd revision of the Municipal Master Plan foresees its expansion, both to the north and west of the existing industrial zone.
